Zinzendorfgasse - Green Mile: Urban oasis in the university quarter

Zinzendorfgasse was transformed into Graz's first "Green Mile" in July 2023. The existing meeting zone at Sonnenfelsplatz was extended along the entire lane to the glacis. The result is an attractive, green urban space where road users can meet each other safely and equally.

The atmosphere is both urban and relaxed. Cafés, small shops, studios, and creative initiatives like the "Zinzengrinsen" association characterize the scene. Particularly charming are the yellow floor markings that deliberately demarcate consumer-free zones and demonstrate that the city can also be a living room.

Zinzendorfgasse is a successful example of modern urban development: participatory, green, and responsive to people's needs. New tree locations, shady seating, and thoughtful traffic calming measures make the alley a place that invites you to linger.
