The crypt of Graz Cathedral was built in the 15th century and served as the final resting place for important figures of the city. During renovation work, numerous inscriptions, coffins and mortal remains were discovered in the crypt, offering a fascinating insight into the burial culture of past times.
The crypt is not regularly open to the public. It is recommended to contact the cathedral parish in advance or take a guided tour to explore this special place.
