Ölberg & hiking trails in Graz-Wetzelsdorf: A quiet nature experience with a view and history

The Mount of Olives in Wetzelsdorf is part of the western hills of Graz and reaches about 559 meters above sea level. Its name probably derives from biblical symbolism – because the small church sits enthroned at the very top. St. John and Paul, which was first mentioned in the 16th century. The path to the church leads through a dense mixed forest with ancient giant trees, rooted paths, and frequent small clearings.
