The Rosenhain (Rosengrove) has a long history: As early as the 16th century, the Jesuits built a convalescent home here, the ruins of which can still be seen today. In the 19th century, the area developed into a popular local recreation area. To secure its long-term public use, the City of Graz acquired the land – thus preserving one of the city's most beautiful vantage points.
Today, ponds, meadows, a dense beech forest, and the Café Rosenhain characterize the landscape. The atmosphere is calm, friendly, and yet lively – a place where families, students, and travelers relax side by side.
