The Annenbründl is named after Saint Anne, the mother of Mary, and has been valued for centuries as a place of contemplation and gratitude. The spring itself rises inconspicuously at the edge of the forest, enclosed by a small stone wall, and varies in strength depending on the season—but always fresh, cool, and lively.
The surrounding forest is an interplay of ancient beech, spruce, and maple trees. In spring, everything springs to life; in summer, the canopy of leaves provides pleasant shade; and in autumn, the path to the spring becomes a stroll through a sea of color. Journey:
Take bus line 40 to the final stop, "Gösting." From there, follow the signposted hiking trail 563 toward the castle ruins (Gösting). After the ruins, the trail branches off toward Thal. At a fork in the road, you'll come across the Annenbründl spring—just follow the gentle rippling sound.
