If you want to discover Graz beyond the old town – with a Walk that combines history, nature and stylish architecture, then the Eggenberger Allee in the west of the city is a real highlight. This green boulevard is one of the most beautiful streets in Graz, not only because of its direct view of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Schloss Eggenberg, but also because of its unique flair.

The avenue begins not far from Graz Central Station and leads you along pleasantly wide paths past listed villas, tall chestnut trees, and quiet residential buildings directly to the baroque castle gate. It was once the representative access road for the noble guests of the castle Eggenberg – and even today you can still feel some of the old splendor of times gone by.

What makes the Eggenberger Allee so special? You're in the heart of the city—but at the same time, in a quiet, almost village-like setting. The perfect place to take a breather after the hustle and bustle of the city center, stroll through the greenery, and discover one of Graz's most important historical ensembles. Whether on foot, by bike, or as a stylish route to the castle: The avenue is a real discovery for all those who want to combine urban flair with culture and nature.
