The district Jakomini Located directly southeast of Graz's Old Town, it is one of the city's most central and vibrant districts. For many visitors, the Graz experience begins here—because Jakomini is not only a transportation hub, but also a diverse, urban neighborhood with character.

The Jakominiplatz is the heart of the district – and at the same time one of the most important interchange points in Graz's entire public transport network. Anyone traveling by tram will almost inevitably pass by here at some point. But it's worth not only changing trams, but also taking a break: the surrounding streets offer an exciting mix of urban activity, historic buildings, modern shops, and international restaurants.

Culturally, Jakomini has a lot to offer: With the nearby Graz Theatre, the Graz Opera and various smaller stages, the district is a hotspot for theater and music lovers. Its proximity to the Old Town also ensures short distances – whether to the Kunsthaus (Art Museum), the City Park, or the Schlossberg.
