The municipality Dobl-Zwaring was created in 2015 through the merger of the two villages of Dobl and Zwaring-Pöls. Both villages can look back on a long agricultural tradition. The first documented mentions date back to 12th century back.
The region was once characterized by small settlements, grain mills, chapels, and agriculture. Today, Dobl-Zwaring represents a modern rural community with a growing quality of life, strong regional businesses, and a strong appreciation of nature. Its proximity to Graz makes it particularly attractive for excursions and rural explorations.
